The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride is a 2022 American musical drama film directed by Jon Favreau, written by Jeff Nathanson, and produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Fairview Entertainment. It is a photorealistic computer-animated remake of Disney's traditionally animated 1998 film of the same name. Plans for a remake of 1998's The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride were confirmed in December 2019 following box office successes for Disney remakes such as The Jungle Book (2016) and The Lion King (2019) until the Teaser October 2021 followed by May 27th, 2022.read more
