otsutsuki The film starts with the Warner Bros., New Line and DC logos to the sound of the Black Adam theme, starts with a glimpse of the Nabu helmet in the desert and we see someone in the shadows picking it up, and a voice that says that he crossed the world behind the helmet, when the helmet shows us a battle in space where we see Hawkgirl facing an army of Gordanians, she manages to defeat part of the army but is injured and her ship comes towards the earth, the mysterious voice says that Carter will now suffer the consequences of this future battle, so we see the movie logo. We are taken to Hall's Mansion where past (except Ted Grant and Jay Garrick who are busy) and current members of the JSA gather to honor Kent Nelson and his sacrifice, Abigail and Al Pratt along with Carter reminisce about their glory days next door. Nelson, when a car arrives and Amanda Waller appears wanting to talk to them about a ship that is heading towards the earth, meanwhile in front of the lake Al and Max talk about their first experiences as superheroes and how to have other heroes in their families was traumatizing for them after creating a relationship with each other they threaten to kiss but Carter interrupts saying they have a mission, Hawkgirl's ship crashes on an island where she is pursued by the Gordanian generals, when the JSA arrives and saves her, Carter when he sees Hawkgirl he has a vision of his past, and crashes in the middle of the battlefield when he is going to be attacked Abigail and Al Pratt save him and ask him to concentrate the generals flee and Hawkgirl faints, she wakes up in the Mansion and attacks Max and Albert when Carter appears to calm her down, the group says goodbye to Al Pratt and Abigail, Waller appears and questions who she is and Hawkgirl introduces herself as Shayera Hol, a Thanagarian from the planet Thanagar She explains that The planet Thanagar is in the Polaris galaxy, the Thanagarians are known and feared for being excellent warriors and hand-to-hand fighters and also for having advanced technology. Her characteristics are human, but her strength, endurance and longevity are above human standards. Thanagarians dominate the Nth metal, which has gravitational powers. to fortify his arsenal, Carter comments on his visions with Shayera and she is rude saying they have never seen each other before, Waller comments to Hall that the JSA should take care of this problem since the JL is busy with a bigger problem, Waller leaves and says she awaits contact, Shayera in turn also decides to leave because she has a war for her to end, Hall, Al and Max say they want to help her, she is reluctant but accepts their help, they locate a Thanagarian base in Romania, they go and Carter has yet another vision seeing the death of an Egyptian prince and princess who look like Carter and Shayera, the two infiltrate the base while Max and Al stay on the spaceship Carter conse When he and Shayera are surrounded by Hro Talak and Parandul and a thanagarian army, a great battle ensues and Hawkman and Hawkgirl are having difficulties but Cyclone and Atom Smasher appear and Atom Smasher steals the base. scene defeating several enemies while Cyclone saves some people in the place and uses his powers to help Hawkgirl when they are surrounded Doctor Fate appears and destroys the base and saves the team, he teleports them to the JSA ship and when he removes the helmet everyone enters in shock to see that Kent Nelson is alive, Kent says that when he was hit by Sabbac he managed to use a rune that accelerated his healing process and lessened the impact of Sabbac's blow, Al makes a joke about "Kent's rebirth" with the "resurrection of Superman" when Kent gets serious and says he has something he wants to share we hear the voice of Nabu right from the helmet who says that Carter's visions are glimpses of his past with Shayera who in Egypt an tingo they were a prince and princess who were betrayed and cursed to die together, every time they meet they are destined to die, and resurrect and meet again and will be in this cycle endlessly, when the Mansion is attacked by the Thanagarians When it is revealed that Shayera was a traitor and was on Earth to gather information from her protectors, after the attack the team reunites and thanks to a strand of Shayera's hair, the team sets up a plan and Doctor Fate teleports them to Egypt where a machine that contains metal and energy to bring Thanagar to earth, when we see that the Gordanian generals bow to the thanagarian generals because the war ended many millennia ago and now the Gordanians are slaves of Thanagar, the JSA arrives and they fight a great battle against the army Gordanians and Thanagarians the Atom Smasher and Doctor Fate with little difficulty defeat most of the army while Cyclone and Hawkman fight the generals and Hawkgirl they fight and Cyclone defeats the Gordanian generals, but is hit in the head and faints Carter loses his fight against the Thanagarian trio for being alone, when Hro Talak goes to kill him he tells Shayera that we all have a choice, she then decides to betray the Thanagarians and save to Carter, Atom Smasher appears and crushes Hro Talak, Doctor Fate says to close the portal Hawkgirl and Hawkman's weapons which are made of nth metal is the key to destroy the portal, they manage to destroy the portal and the rubble starts to fall in the egyptian tomb Carter and Shayera fight Parandul and Hro Talak and a great battle ensues Carter's battle is tough but he manages to hit his gun on Hro's head killing his enemy, Shayera stabs Para saying that on earth she has a right to choose to be whoever she wants, that on earth she will be free, at the end of the film we see Kent Nelson talking about changes and winds of hope for the future of the earth, and we see him in a coffee shop having tea, while Al and Max walk in a park hand in hand, and Carter and Shayera are in Carter's mansion under the moonlight, and start dancing to the sound of Caribbean Queen, In the first post-credits scene Superman appears and tells Hawkman that the world always needs new heroes and that if the JSA wants or needs the JL its doors are open. The second post-Credits Scene brings Egypt where the wreckage of the teleporter is and we see a purple magic coming out of there and we see Wotan appearing and saying that the hour of chaos begins...

misterwolf Generally positive: compliments aimed at it’s storytelling, ambition (i think you got the ambition of your stories off my own, which is fine), action, visual style, character development, fast-paced screenplay, and Vikander’s performance, while criticism is currently aimed at it’s uneven script and unresolved lack of emotion. Other than that, it’s one your finest works.
