Synopsis

In a small town in the interior of Espírito Santo (Brazil), the presence of Josefel Zanatas, a sinister man who works as a gravedigger in the city cemetery, disturbs the other inhabitants, because the man dresses in black from head to toe, blasphemes against religion and has an extremely unpleasant attitude. Josefel's goal is to have a son, believing that the continuity of his blood will make him immortal, but his wife seems incapable of conceiving a child for him, so he decides to sexually abuse Tereza, the wife of his best friend, who promises to commit suicide so that her soul can drag Josefel to hell with her.

Description of the Gypsy:

She is an old gypsy woman who lives in the city and attends to people who seek to know about their future. She is eventually visited by Josefel and Antonio, who wants to know about his marriage. After the gypsy woman does not give the answer that Antonio expected, Josefel blasphemes against her and says that there are no supernatural forces, to which she responds by warning him that he may face the consequences of this disrespect. This happens in the end, when Josefel is dragged to hell as punishment for his crimes.
