My idea for a Blair Witch sequel
Following the recent disappearance of a classroom of children on a field trip near the woods of Burkittsville, Maryland, the town once again has become the unfortunate centre of a crazed media frenzy, with the rumor circling the Blair Witch legend as the cause behind it. Amidst this, young opportunistic investigative journalist Rebecca Hayles, accompanied by her longtime friend and cameraman Daniel, has arrived for her own report on the story, intending to go much deeper than others are willing to go. Securing the cooperation of the local sheriff, Thomas Callahan, who reluctantly agrees to guide Rebecca and Daniel into the Black Hills Forest, hoping that documenting the search might uncover something investigators overlooked. Eventually, finding themselves gradually becoming prey to the unknown darkness that lies within the woods, and through recovered archival recordings, handwritten accounts, and a collection of previously undocumented nineteenth-century testimonies, they discover something that contradicts everything once thought to be known about the Blair Witch; there was never just one...
