  • segatronisme The game starts with Mario and Luigi exploring the Mushroom Kingdom, until sections of Sonic the Hedgehog’s universe start to fall from the sky. We switch perspectives to Sonic and friends who are seemingly going to fall to their death, however they are saved by Silver. Dr. Eggman and Sage escape the chaos in the Egg Carrier. Silver goes back in time to figure out what is happening. The perspective switches once again, this time to Bowser, who witnesses a portal open in his castle, and out of the portal appears the version of Dr. Robotnik from the Sonic films by paramount. Robotnik uses this as an opportunity to ally with Bowser and they begin work on a plan for world takeover. Perspective returns to Mario and Luigi, who are led by a Yellow Toad to Sonic and company, Mario and Luigi ask where they came from, but Sonic and friends do not know what happened. Mario and Luigi have Sonic and Company stay on Yoshi’s island, and everyone except for Sonic agrees, Because Sonic wants to get to the bottom of this as soon as possible. Perspective switches once again this time to SMG4 who is taken through a wormhole and finds himself in the mushroom kingdom (not the SMG4 version, just the main universe) and when he is there he sees Bowser, Bowser Jr. Movie Robotnik, and all the Koopalings, in their air vehicles, Bowser orders Larry to fight SMG4 but SMG4 defeats him. The villains fly away, SMG4 sees Peach's castle on fire and rushes there to discover SMG3 has taken control of it. SMG4 fights and defeats SMG3 and is congratulated by a mysterious disembodied voice. Perspective returns to Mario, Luigi and Sonic, who are searching around only to encounter the villains (-Larry) Bowser sends Morton, Wendy, and Iggy against Mario, Luigi, and Sonic, but the heroes are victorious. After this a series of portals open releasing Meggy, Kevin, Nakeem, and Jeffy. Ludwig swiftly kills Jeffy (because he is an offensive ableist stereotype). Nakeem is launched back through the portal before it disappears (again by Ludwig). Meggy and Kevin remain and together they defeat Roy while Mario, Luigi, and Sonic follow after an escaping Bowser and Movie Robotnik. Sonic is able to catch up to them and defeat Bowser, Movie Robotnik escapes in the chaos. Mario and Luigi discover that Lemmy and Ludwig have defeated Meggy and Kevin, and are now following them. Luigi defeats Lemmy and Mario defeats Ludwig. Bowser Jr. finds Bowser and transforms him into Fury Bowser, Sonic fights Fury Bowser but is eventually defeated. Mario moves ahead of Luigi and finishes the fight with Fury Bowser. Luigi catches his breath as a portal opens behind him, and out of the portal comes the Nostalgia Critic, who challenges Luigi to a fight, Luigi wins but is badly beaten and faints. He wakes up with him as well as Mario and Sonic in a hospital being operated on by Jack Shephard while Dunk Pacino silently watches. After the group is done healing, Dunk Pacino explains that he is trying to stop a mysterious person, who is the one responsible for both sections of Sonic's world, as well as Movie Robotnik appearing in Mario's world. Dunk sends the group, as well as SMG4 back to Mario’s world to explain that the timeline has been changed by Silver, and then sends them after Wario who he claims knows something, so the group heads to Kitchen Island where they find Wario as well as Popple. Wario tells them that a traveler from another universe is on Kitchen Island, so the group looks around and finds Ringo Starr, who explains that he was taken through a portal to this universe. The group returns and Dunk forces SMG4 to fight against the Angry Video Game Nerd. SMG4 wins but is killed in the process. However Dunk simply replaces him with another version of SMG4 from another universe. Mario, Luigi, and Sonic are disturbed by this and decide to rebel against Dunk. Mario attempts to directly fight Dunk, however Dunk sends out Jobin to fight Mario. Mario defeats Jobin who agrees to help destroy Dunk. Dunk sends out Jack Shephard from another world because he can sense his defeat is nigh. Mario destroys Dunk with help from Jobin, however Dunk uses his last moments to summon Akira Fudo for Mario to fight. Mario fights Akira but barely survives, however he is victorious. Jack Shephard from another world is now in Mario's world and summoning hundreds of minions. Akira regains control of himself and agrees to help destroy Jack Shephard from another world. Jobin returns to his home universe. Sonic and Luigi contact various heroes in order to defeat Jack Shephard from another world, and Mario and Akira head to Jack Shephard from another world in order to end the chaos. Mario is able to fight his way through to Jack Shephard from another world with the help of his many allies. Mario fights with Jack Shephard from another world until eventually Mario is victorious. Mario falls to the earth and watches as all the elements from other worlds that had been sent to his world go back through the portals. Mario now sees Silver having just returned from the past. Silver warns Mario that there is someone in their own private universe behind the appearance of parts of Sonic world and Movie Robotnik in Mario's world. However Arixom suddenly appears and erases everyone's memories of the game's events, and finally sends Silver back home. In the post credits scene Arixom, Bowser, and Bowser Jr. are all seated in fanciful thrones floating in a white void, 16 more thrones can be seen in the background with no one in them. Movie Robonik enters the void through a door shaped portal. Arixom hands Movie Robotnik a crystal which burns through his hand. Movie Robotnik faints and wakes up back in the Movie Sonic Universe.
