Story Plot

A biography of the late actor Leonard Nimoy from his beginnings in Boston to his rise into acting and how being cast as Spock changed his life forever. How did this character, who became larger that life, affect him privately? His joys, his causes, his marriages, both happy and sad, his family, his friends, his Jewish faith, how Trek led to alcoholism, and sobriety. His COPD, his acting, his craft, naivete and growth. His love/hate friendship with Shatner. Anger, Denial, Acceptance, and profound contentment. And even singing career. All leading up to how he found peace with his character and his life before his untimely death from COPD. When he was cast as Spock, it was a great relief to have a steady job to support his family. Yet the stress of the tight work schedule led to alcohol abuse and even neglect of his family. When Star Trek ended he thought Spock did too. But he never expected his character to lead him to icon status, and all the fortune and chaos it would cause him for the rest of his life.
