Synopsis

Hill House has stood for eighty years. It broods darkly and there is something evil inside – something that walks alone. Stories of its haunting have circulated for a long time and it cannot seem to be lived in or rented for more than a few days before the inhabitants leave inexplicably.

Description of Aunt Janet:

Janet is Olivia Crain's sister. When Olivia's mental health started to deteriorate, she was supposed to go to Janet's house to take a break from the house. Olivia ended up not going, rather staying in the motel room the Crain family has used multiple time throughout the series, only to go back and try to kill Luke, Nell, and Abigail. After Olivia dies, Hue becomes distant and the children go off to live with Janet. Janet raises the children as her own, becoming their guardian.
