After a terrorist organization calling themselves the White Masks threaten international relations, Aurelia "Six" Arnot puts together an elite team of soldiers from all over the world. However, after a mission goes very wrong, James "Smoke" Porter and Mark "Mute" Chandar go AWOL, apparently responsible for the catastrophe. As the two Brits assemble a makeshift team of outcasts solders made up of Elżbieta "Ela" Bosak, Taina "Caveira" Pereira, and Chul Kyung "Vigil" Hwa to find the true culprit for the sabotage and clear their names, the rest of Rainbow splits between those who wish to help the renegades, led by Gustave "Doc" Kateb, and those wanting to bring them to justice, led by Eliza "Ash" Cohen. Lines will be drawn and blood will be spilled as the team clashes with itself, all the while the White Masks true goal becomes clearer.
