  • misterwolf @nickienicks @castingsinmyblood @otsutsuki @mirandaandmariah @xxx_fallengalaxyxxx @samanthaharmon @braydenfostervold @thepinkmenace and @robertcooper Welcome to Poppy Playtime! If you haven't played the game of the same title, then here's the basics: Poppy Playtime is a very weird and creepy game where the player explores through an abandoned factory they used to work in, and they befriend the titular doll who happens to be on their side. I'd be surprised if you hadn't at least heard of Huggy Wuggy, because he's a famous horror icon. Enjoy!

  • misterwolf Plot: A commercial of an old company suddenly plays, explaining the first "human" doll, named Poppy Playtime. Poppy's face is apparently zoomed in on by the camera used in the commercial, only for her to say "Wake up", thus indicating that a former employee of the Playtime Company, which is the title of the company, named Lilly, is dreaming.
  • misterwolf Lilly, who has had the same dream several times, wakes up. She informs her mother Sandra, who is aware of her dreams, that she woke up from it again. Remembering that before the company filed for bankruptcy, there was a facility where Poppy lived, and realizes that it is still there; Sandra reluctantly allows her to go there under the condition that they both go. Arriving at the now-abandoned facility, the two find the grab pack one of Lilly's coworkers used before using the blue hand on it to activate the door that leads to the rest of the facility. They find tall, furry creature named Huggy Wuggy, but both assume that it is a statue. However, when they accidentally fry the power, a key to the backup generator room is shown on Huggy Wuggy's hand, and they quickly realize that the facility is not as it seems anymore. After turning on the generator, they find that Huggy Wuggy is gone, thus confirming that he is real and has now moved.
  • misterwolf Lilly and Sandra split up, with the former continuing through the facility and the latter searching for Huggy Wuggy. Meanwhile, Poppy awakens in a glass case, but knows that she cannot escape, so she instead turns a monitor on, and sees through the cameras that Lilly and Sandra are in the facility. Lilly obtains a red hand for the grab pack, meant for doors that have a hand scanner in the same color. As she ventures through and completes several puzzles, she encounters Sandra, who then attempts to take her out of the facility after running from Huggy Wuggy, but he appears through the way she came and abruptly blocks both the way out and the hall he emerged from. After narrowly avoiding him through numerous conveyors, they are trapped on a broken bridge. Sandra sacrifices herself to pull a large crate to collapse the bridge when she sees another below; as she and the crate fall, Huggy Wuggy is badly injured by the crate and falls with the collapsing bridge, before he falls again, this time with Sandra's body, leaving his fate unknown but also allowing Lilly to continue on without being followed by him.
  • misterwolf Eventually finding the office of Elliot Ludwig, the owner of the Playtime Company, Lilly finds Poppy and frees her. They quickly befriend each other and venture further into the facility to try and find a way out. However, Poppy is pulled by a strange pink arm into a pit; Lilly jumps down there to save her, only for her red hand to be stolen by the creature who kidnapped Poppy. Lilly recognizes her, and says "Mommy Long Legs!". Mommy reveals that Poppy was going to use a train to get herself and Lilly out of the facility, and that she decided to "make a game out of it", indicating that she will give both Poppy back and the train code to Lilly. The first game is Musical Memory, run by Bunzo Bunny, who will kill Lilly with his cymbals if she loses. After numerous wins and the game starts to become rigged and increasingly fast, the game breaks, and Mommy gives Lilly part of the code, before telling her to head to Whack-a-Wuggy. As she proceeds through the vents, she faintly hears blood gurgling screams from Bunzo, implying that Mommy has murdered him. Poppy then witnesses Bunzo's hanged corpse before Mommy carries her to the next game.
  • misterwolf In Whack-a-Wuggy, Lilly struggles to play it due to only having the blue hand, but manages to beat the game, and then receives the second part of the code. She is also given a green hand, mean to extract electricity. As she proceeds through a railroad and encounters Kissy Missy, Huggy Wuggy's wife, who helps her escape the railroad, she hears more screams and realizes that Mommy has also murdered the Mini-Huggies living in Whack-a-Wuggy. Finding the Mini-Huggies dead in the train room, she promises to avenge them. Going to the game Statues, run by PJ Pug-a-Pillar, Mommy appears again with Poppy in her hands, and reveals that not only have "the kids eventually left", but the staff members within the facility were harsh on her and the other creatures, implying that they were transformed and experimented on. Lilly responds that while she cannot let Mommy win or have Poppy, she is remorseful over the fact that she took has left. As she nears the end of the game, the way is blocked by rubble, and Lilly is forced to cheat in order to evade PJ. She does not hear screams this time, indicating that Mommy has spared PJ but is instead going after her. Not able to bring herself to kill Lilly yet after finding her, she gives her one last chance and they hostilely play hide and seek. As Mommy finds Lilly, Poppy breaks free of her grip and runs towards a shredder, which she activates just as Lilly runs towards her; Mommy accidentally lands both her legs and arms on the shredder, and her entire body except her head is crushed, killing her. As a mysterious robot hand takes her head away, Poppy and Lilly escape to the train with the final code.
  • misterwolf In the aftermath, Poppy and Lilly enter the train and activate it; however, Poppy realizes that the robot hand belonged to an enemy she has known for a long time, and that she and Lilly cannot leave until this enemy is dead. She then diverts the train towards a place called Playcare, and apologizes to Lilly for changing her mind and that she will explain when they arrive; however, the train is attacked by an unidentified assailant, and it crashes, leaving Poppy and Lilly's fate unknown. Before the end credits roll, Huggy Wuggy is shown, and his hand moves, indicating that he is still alive.
