Fan Casting Papa Midnight in Paul Hunter's Constantine

A tall, soft-spoken voodoo priest who runs an occult apothecary in Harlem. Papa Midnight is a neutral player in the supernatural wars, acting as an information broker and occasional ally to Constantine. He is pragmatic, calculating, and deeply wary of the magician's arrogance. When Constantine and Angela come to him to hold a séance for the dead Hennessy, Midnight reluctantly agrees, but the session goes horribly wrong. Ultimately, Midnight is murdered by Balthazar, a grim reminder of the stakes of the coming conflict.
