"In the Town of Rappa, PaRappa and his father make a fortune by rapping and singing since it was something PaRappa's mother did and that she always believes that PaRappa can rap perfectly as well and tells him as a child to never give up on his dreams before her death. Nowadays, the money they get from rapping is so that his father can make machines for General Potter. Feeling lonely and sad, PaRappa makes friends with PJ Berrie, Katy Kat, Lammy, and his crush, Sunny Funny and helps them bring an old theater back to life since it belonged to PaRappa's mother. But Colonel Noodle, a leader of the bank that owns the theater, plans to have his teenage assistant, Joe Chin, bring them down, so he can gain so much money off PaRappa's mother, but PaRappa and his new friends won't allow that as they team up to bring music into everyone's hearts and save his mother's theater.
