Jacob is from Krypton. His pod was found by Batman one night out on patrol. Jacob Became Robin Robin when he was 10 and Nightwing when he was 16. Both Bruce and Jacob were in the audience at Haley’s circus the night the flying graysons preformed. They took A Young Richard Grayson in and eventually Jacob passed on the mantle of Robin to Dick
