Denise Howard, a recently divorced mother who goes undercover as Mr. Penrose, an elderly male butler so she can be close to her three children who are in full custody of her ex husband Martin. She also wears elegant dresses and heels just to fit into the rigid society of a country club owned by her disdainful ex father in-law, Max. Denise also befriends Stacey, a young intern at Martin's law firm. They form an unexpected bond with each other. It's Mrs. Doubtfire meets Erin Brockovich and Thelma and Louise.
