Synopsis

Taking place in a New Era, Liu Kang (former champion of Mortal Kombat now Fire god) takes the role of Keeper of Time, creating a new timeline. Years past and Liu Kang seeks out champions somewhere in Fengjian, China & America. Meanwhile, Shang Tsung (now a con-artist) gets caught by former customers in his fake magics, until he meets a mysterious woman who offers him a way out of the cruel life he's in.

Description of Liu Kang:

Liu Kang was once mortal and chosen champion of Raiden. Due to fallouts, they fought each other until revealed of Kronika's interventions. Sacrificing his godhood, Liu Kang takes up Raiden's powers combined with his against the Titaness, claiming the Hourglass. Becoming Keeper of Time, he creates a New Era and roles are now reversed with the former champion now the teacher. For this, he watches over a young mortal Raiden as he watches both him and Kung Lao grow up and prepare to be recruited.
