Description of Melissa Muffet:

As a child, Melissa Muffet (pronounced as Moo-Fay) was lost in the woods near her hometown and as day turned to night, Melissa was afraid what could happen to her out in the wilderness. A voice from the darkness told her that he can guide her home but only if she follows two rules, 1) listen to his stories while he guides her and 2) never look behind her to see his appearance. Melissa agreed and listened to his tales from a far off land where while they walked through the woods. Before the sunrise, Melissa made it back to her town and wanted to turn around and thank this stranger for his help but he told her to never look at him for she would fear what she saw. Melissa thought it couldn't be that bad and turned around and saw who was guiding her the entire night, a giant spider, most notably the Keeper of All Stories of the World, Anansi. Melissa's mind couldn't handle the terror she was looking at and when she was found, she was in an unresponsive vegetative state and sent to a psychiatric hospital, where she would for 6 years. In the rare moments Melissa responsive, she would scream and hallucinate that spiders were all over her and in her hair and she tore it out to "get rid of the spiders". The last time she was ever seen was after she escaped the hospital and burned it down with a makeshift flamethrower and she as mumbling "burn the bugs". Melissa would later make a gas gun, gas mask, extermination pack, and projectile grapple claw to destroy the source of her fears, Anansi. She would search high and low to find him and when she finally did, she was confronted by a group of people looking to kill him as well, The Hunters, the destroyers of myth and all things magical in this world. They butted heads and with this advantage, Anansi escaped, but was seriously damaged by Melissa's poison gas. This impressed the Hunters and they decided to recruit this unstable arachnophobic little psycho to their ranks. They upgraded her weapons to make her a formidable foe to any monster she fights and sent her out to be their personal bug exterminator.
