The Celestials have passed their judgment: Instead of destruction, they plan a "restructuring" of the universe, reshaping the entire cosmic balance and life itself. The Eternals must decide whether to obey the Celestials or fight against them to preserve life. Eros (Starfox), Thanos' brother, becomes the key figure with the knowledge to influence the judgment. In an epic showdown, the Eternals reach the "Site of Judgment" and attempt to alter the Celestials' cosmic verdict, using Cybele's wisdom and the help of A'las and Sui-San to tip the As the battle against the Celestials escalates, the Eternals pay a heavy price. In the end, they manage to stop the restructuring of the universe, but the Celestials demand an alternative: a Celestial Madonna who will carry and birth the restructuring in the form of a child. The Eternals realize that this delays the Celestial plan and offers a second chance for the universe.
