when two brothers from Brooklyn, New Donk City get sucked through a portal via a green pipe they end up in a strange new world filled with mushrooms, turtle like creatures and toad like people etc, as both Mario and Luigi get thrusted into an adventure to save Princess Peach from Bowser as well stopping him from achieving all the Seven Wishing Stars as well the Grand Star and they go meeting various creatures, individuals and certain characters
