With Britain and France humiliated, the defeated nations fell to socialist revolutions, leading to the collapse of their empires, with Germany taking almost all European colonies in Africa and Asia, while the British and French governments went into exile in Canada and Algeria. Nearly two decades later, the Black Monday crisis sees the world order collapse once more with an economic crisis and the assassination of the Russian president. Many fear a Second Weltkrieg in Europe between the monarchists and socialists (and perhaps the Entente exiles), and a Second American Civil War is on the horizon between the United States, radical socialists, fascist populists, breakaways on the west coast, and Canadians who want to create a puppet state in New England.
