Synopsis

Eyeless Jack is a 2022 American fantasy supernatural horror film based on the creepypasta character of the same name. Directed by Ruben Fleischer, the film is the fifth installment in the creepypasta universe, and stars Ben Affleck, Kate Mara, Brett Cullen, Sadie Calvano, Tom Hardy, and Jackson Robert Scott. The second film in the creepypasta universe to be rated PG-13, set after the events of The Smile Dog, where Cormac Leamy (Bruce Dern) finds a scar where one kidney should be, and Said (Marwan Kenzari) witnesses the crime, and becomes Cormac's friend, which sends Detective Jane to investigate the crime. The film premiered in Los Angeles on September 24th 2021, and was released theatrically on October 14th 2021. It received highly positive reviews from critics, and became the best-reviewed film in the creepypasta universe, drawing favorable notices for its direction, visual effects, tone, screenplay, storyline, cinematography, emotional weight, and the performances of Affleck and Mara. The film was also a box-office success, earning $857 million against a budget of $286 million. A sequel, entitled Eyeless Jack Chapter II, was released 2 years later.
