Synopsis

story begins with Seattle, Washington being plagued by a series of murders, which Edward Cullen suspects is caused by a newborn vampire with an uncontrollable thirst for human blood. While Edward and Bella enroll in colleges, Bella tells Edward that she wants to visit her friend, Jacob Black, a Native American Quileute who, like some other members of the tribe, can turn a wolf into a wolf. Edward worries about Bella's safety, but she guarantees that neither Jacob nor the wolf pack would hurt her. During a visit, Jacob tells Bella that he is in love with her; he wants her to choose him over Edward. Bella tells Jacob that she regards him only as a friend. Meanwhile, Alice Cullen has a vision that the vampire Victoria has returned to Forks. Victoria seeks to kill Bella to avenge her mate, James' death.

Description of Riley Biers:

Riley was the first vampire created by Victoria when she formed an army to attack the Cullen and Bella family. He obtained Bella's perfume for newborns and led the Seattle newborn army. Victoria told Riley that she loved him, but that was just a lie to get him to side with her. During the invasion, he stayed with Victoria and was killed by Seth Clearwater during the battle between the Cullens and the army.
