These monsters have a powerful sexual allure to members of the opposite sex. The curse itself seems to confer an uncanny ability to pull off complex pro-wrestling moves in high school wrestling matches, the animus of both coyotes and rabid Chihuahuas, and Voluntary Shapeshifting abilities even on the night of a full moon. Latranthropy can be sexually transmitted as well as by bite or inheritance (Maya even outright states that there's "no such thing as safe sex with a werewolf" in a Motive Rant, a reference to this movie's source material), and killing the cursed werecoyote that infected you won't cut it for the cure — you have to kill the natural-born werecoyote that infected it. Oh, and even though silver can cause great pain to them, they don't die from that. You have to behead it or blow it's brain out.
