In the near-future, breakthrough after breakthrough in the world of medicine have been made, this remake is centered on a young government official who agrees to undergo an experimental treatment that may help her control her seizures for good. A chip is placed in the back of her skull and she receives an unexpected benefit; the benefit being that the chip makes her one of the most intelligent women in the entire country. However, the chip soon malfunctions causing her to have bizarre hallucinations in which she sees a young girl being violated almost non-stop.
