In the film, a former scientist-turned-assassin named Dakota Houston sets out to give the world back its freedom, which was taken by the ruthless and corrupt world leader Armando Kraone. City of Darkness premiered in Los Angeles on February 29th, 2022, and was released on March 17th; it was a major box-office success, grossing $618 million worldwide.
