Candy's is a 2024 American supernatural horror film written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and David Twohy. It is based on the Five Nights At Candy's video game franchise, which in turn is a spin-off of the Five Nights At Freddy's video games, and is also the first installment in the Five Nights At Candy's film series. It stars Sasha Calle in the main role, with Russell Crowe as the Origami Cat, supported by Lexi Rabe, Mary-Louise Parker, Danny Glover, and Karl Urban as Candy himself. In the film, Calle is Mary Schmidt, a young divorced mother who reluctantly takes the job of a security guard to support her daughter Marilyn; she must watch the mascots of Candy's Burgers & Fries–Cindy the Cat, Chester the Monkey, The Penguin, and Candy himself–who all move at night. Candy's opened in theaters on December 5th, 2024; it received positive reviews with praise for its direction, screenplay, atmosphere, performances, and plot twist. The film was a box-office success, grossing over $718 million worldwide. A sequel was announced and is set for release on December 16th, 2026.
