  • misterwolf Plot: On her way home, forensic scientist Charlotte "Charlie" Wilson receives a panicked call from her husband Anthony who tells her not to come home, saying that there is an intruder. Frightened, she disobeys and arrives at her house; she finds that there was indeed an intruder and discovers Anthony lying on the floor with blood. Although Charlie is relieved that Dylan, her daughter, is still alive and uninjured, both of them are unable to find a pulse for Anthony, thus causing them to realize that he is dead from a fatal gunshot.
  • misterwolf A few weeks later, the authorities have failed to find the killer. While Dylan is extremely heartbroken over this news, Charlie becomes enraged, and she swears vengeance. After a night at a bar, two cynical police officers are about to head home, but are instead drugged and knocked unconscious with a sledgehammer by Charlie. They both awaken in Charlie's basement, and she berates them for their failure to find her husband's killer, and suspects that one their own orchestrated the crime; they reveal to her that they were involved and that they do not regret any of it. Infuriated, Charlie kills them both with a hammer, becoming a serial killer in the process. She then destroys her fingerprints with acid, before dumping the bodies with a warning sign written in blood saying "You will all pay!". The crime goes global, and chief inspector Ron Franklin is sent to investigate the matter. Deducing the lack of fingerprints due to the acid, he realizes that this mysterious killer, unaware that it is Charlie, will be his most cunning enemy. He then turns to his friend and contact, Murray Overton, who reveals that he is worried that he, himself, is the killer's primary target.
  • misterwolf Charlie kidnaps another corrupt officer; when he asks "I thought serial killers murdered civilians!", she replies that she would rather kill the guilty or corrupt, before using her hammer to bludgeon the officer. She then leaves his body in the street, leaves a message written in blood again saying "I will find the one who made me what I am!", and, once again, burns her fingerprints away with acid. Suspecting that a scientist is doing this, Franklin interrogates Edwin McClane, who reluctantly provides him a clue about Charlie herself. Charlie and Dylan are both kidnapped and taken to a cult, led by Overton. Realizing that she is now face-to-face with her husband's killer, she coldy tells Overton "I'm gonna kill you... And your friends.", before he departs and meets with Franklin. Charlie manages to break free of her bonds, rescue Dylan, and massacre the entire cult.
  • misterwolf Now aware that her own mother is the one who killed the corrupt cops, Dylan asks why she is doing this. Charlie tells her the truth, saying that because the cops could not find Anthony's murderer, she had to take matters into her own hands. Accepting the truth, Dylan tearfully assures Charlie that she will never stop loving her and that she cares about her the same way she always has, and Charlie embraces her daughter. However, Charlie realizes that Edwin has ratted her out, and simultaneously drugs and kidnaps him in retaliation. A remorseful Edwin allows her to kill him when he realizes the error of his ways, but not before revealing that Franklin still does not know where she lives and that she will likely have to kill both Franklin and Overton.
  • misterwolf She then leaves Edwin's corpse near a sewer, leaving the blood message "Murray Overton is out of luck!" and burning her fingerprints once more. Before Overton can describe Charlie to Franklin over the phone, Charlie kidnaps him and leaves Franklin in the dark; in the basement of her house, Charlie violently beats Overton with a crowbar. She reveals that she is saving Franklin for last, as she knows his true nature, and says "If you hadn't killed my Anthony, none of this would've happened." She then bludgeons Overton's face with the crowbar, before leaving his body near the police station as a warning to Franklin that she is coming for him. Although her fingerprints are once again gone, she has left a secret note that Franklin finds, and the address to her house is on it. While off-duty, he drives to Charlie's house, but soon realizes he has been set up once he enters, as the house starts to erupt in flames.
  • misterwolf While Dylan hides in the trunk of a car, Charlie emerges from the flames with the crowbar in her right hand. Ron spitefully reveals his orchestration of Anthony's murder, and tells Charlie that this will only end with either him or her dead. The two fight, with Franklin disarming and injuring Charlie. Before he can kill her however, Dylan leaves the car and throws a brick at his head, allowing Charlie to regain her strength and use the crowbar to beat Franklin to death. As she drives away with Dylan, their house explodes, destroying any evidence of Charlie's illegalities. Departing for Germany, Charlie and Dylan rightly speculate that the authorities will fail to find them. Before the end credits roll, Charlie laments revenge and allows herself to finally grieve for Anthony.
