What If Story.
When Darren Aronofsky leaves the adaptation of 'Year One' after completing an early draft, Warner Bros. chooses the Wachowski siblings, hot off the success of 'The Matrix', to replace him as director of the project. The Wachowskis significantly rewrite the draft, bringing back integral conventions which were omitted earlier ; post release, the movie is lauded for its dark and realistic tone, as well as the lead performances of recent Oscar nominees Phoenix & Crowe.
