After the death of The Batman, and father to multiple great vigilantes protecting Gotham, those children must now grapple with the reality that the man who took them in and trained them when they were at their lowest is gone and figure out how to succeed him. Multiple members of the family make their own bat-suits and attempt to prove themselves to be worthy successors to their father’s legacy, but in the end it is clear there is only one- the first Robin and first son of Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson.

Tales of the Bat-Family Season Nineteen: The End
After waking up in the Court of Owls courtroom, they attempt to bring Bruce into the court after learning about his plans to rebuild the city and reveal that his ancestors are one of the five families that founded the court. He is given a tour of the headquarters and informed on their goal of making Gotham its best, but they truly just want to keep their power when Bruce is in their way. Lincoln March reveals himself as a member and that it was his idea to recruit him but when Bruce turns them down he is thrown into a labyrinth where he wanders aimlessly for months. When he eventually makes a way out he makes his way back home and tells his family what happened where Dick reveals to Bruce that he has had encounters with their assassin Talon before who was trying to recruit him also. With all these revelations Bruce becomes beaten down feeling like the last thirty years have been pointless and he has made no real progress in Gotham. But when Talon breaks in trying to kill the family, and succeeds in killing Alfred, Bruce decides he has finally had enough. He attacks March in his home with the intention to kill him but he reveals they are brothers and he ways the illegitimate son of Thomas Wayne and that is why they didn’t kill Bruce. Eventually Bruce decides to make the ultimate sacrifice to end the corruption in Gotham once and for all, realizing that Gotham only needs him for one last fight after he has created many, and better protectors to succeed him.

Tales of the Bat-Family Season Eighteen
The beginning of the end, after decades of being the caped crusader and having raised and trained many crime fighters protecting Gotham, Bruce discovers his greatest challenge yet. Gotham is currently in the midst of the race for Mayor, and Bruce has finally finished his plans to rebuild and better Gotham and reveals them to the public, and is using his money and Wayne Enterprises to its fullest extent to turn Gotham into the place he has always wanted it to be. When he reveals this to the public, Mayoral Candidate Lincoln March approaches Bruce looking for an endorsement and Bruce agrees. Then other candidates begin to disappear and as Bruce digs deeper into the case he begins to consider that an old rumor he supposedly disproved years ago could be real. He then finds an old abandoned building that has many secrets within it that reveals he was correct. Then one evening while investigating he is kidnapped by masked assailants and wakes up in a courtroom full of people in owl masks and it is confirmed the people behind everything are none other than the Court of Owls

Tales of the Bat-Family season Seventeen
After defeating the Phantasm, Bruce and Selina decide to follow through on their wedding but it is interrupted when the criminals all across the city begin to attack at the same time, with plans more complex and harder to stop than ever before, clearly designed by someone else, and as Bruce frantically attempts to find out who has given the villains their plans he discovers a new villain in the city going by the alias The Designer, who has auctioned off plans that to cause chaos, death, and to beat the Batman. So Bruce must find out who he is and stop him before the entire city is destroyed by the plans he has sold off while his family is trying to detain all of the other villains before they completely destroy the city. After Bruce and the family defeat the Designer Bruce and Selina finally get their wedding.

Tales of the Bat-Family Season Sixteen
After learning about the existence of his son Damian Wayne, Bruce is still attempting to reteach him away from his League of Assassin training. At the same time a new "vigilante" appears in Gotham calling themselves the Phantasm and they are slaughtering organized crime across Gotham, including the family of Selina Kyle aka Catwoman the Calabrese family. Bruce eventually figures out that it is his childhood girlfriend Andrea Beaumont who has returned to Gotham to avenge the death of her father. She also begins meeting with Damian trying to convince him to join her in killing criminals because Bruce doesn't understand that they need to die for Gotham to be saved. So Bruce must find a way to turn Damian into a hero and not murderer while he is being influenced by the Phantasm and he must prevent her from killing Selina Kyle- Bruce's fiance

Tales of the Bat-Family Season Thirteen
Almost sixteen years after her birth, Helena Wayne has returned to Gotham to meet her birth parents after her adoptive parents were killed by her adopted dad’s drug dealer Bill Jensen. When she was put into the care of her adoptive parents they were given millions to support her and live a good life by Bruce, wanting to make sure she would always be taken care of despite not being able to be with her, but unaware that they would abuse the money he gave them. Because her adoptive parents ended up neglecting her she did whatever she pleased with her money and lived a care free rich girl lifestyle- also being an addict like her parents. When she gets to Gotham she goes to Wayne Industries and meets CEO Harper Row, who introduces her to Bruce- who is still recovering from his own addiction to Venom. After learning about what happened to her he takes her back and decides that she is now old enough to be a part of his life, and her mother Selina Kyle’s, together they train her to become the vigilante The Huntress, with a little help from her aunt Helena Bertinelli

Tales of the Bat-Family Season Twelve
Six months after Bruce had to resort to Venom to defeat the villain Bane, he has become addicted to the drug feeling like he needs it to continue being Batman as he is no longer strong enough after his defeat at the hands of Bane. He begins to not think clearly and behaves more recklessly drawing attention from the rest of the family who discover Bruce’s new habit and desperately try to get him off of it seeing what happened to Bane in Arkham separated from the drug almost immobilized. At the same time a new villain appears in Gotham, whose identity is unknown but he is leaving nothing in his tracks- except clay. Later Bruce discovers that his name was Basil Karlo, a former a-list actor who had been pushed aside from the industry for “not being able to immerse himself in the role at his age” and he turned to an experimental drug from the Powers corporation that he could use to alter his appearance softening his skin to mold it to his pleasing, using this to become a thief and killer for hire being able to blend in anywhere until eventually his excessive use of it mutates him into the monstrous Clayface barely resembling a man, seeing what the addiction did to Karlo is what finally got Bruce away from Venom having to once again rely on his own skills to stop Clayface

Tales of the Bat-Family Season Fifteen
After David Cain tried to prove himself a worthy successor to Ra's Al Ghul by killing the Batman by using his daughter only for her to see Bruce as her father and he failed. Ra's attempts to convince Bruce to come back to the League and become his heir by introducing Brue to his son- Damian Wayne. The son that Bruce had with Ra's daughter Talia. Ra's leaves the child there to try and bring Bruce back and join the head of the demon in "saving" the world from humanity. After this bombshell revelation Bruce must learn what to do now that he has a son who was raised to become an assassin his entire life and teach him not to murder his enemies. Since Carrie Kelley was currently Robin Damian viewed the role as his birthright and beat her to near death. Batman had to stop his son before he killed her. Kelley decided that Damian needed to take the role of Robin so that he could learn to become better and to get past his assassin conditioning so she steps down from the role and decides to go to college and becomes the vigilante Misfit. Now making Damian his Robin Bruce sets out to fix his homicidal son. Then one day when When Talia comes to Gotham to retrieve her son and see if Bruce will return with them Damian decides to stay in Gotham with his father.

Six months clean from Venom Bruce and Carrie are back to normal as the dynamic duo Then one day a masked assassin breaks in to the Batcave trying to kill the Batman and she comes very close, but him, Tim, and Carrie are able to subdue the assassin and lock her up, when they remove her mask they find that she is fourteen years old. She is unable to speak but she understands language- all languages. Bruce then runs a DNA sample and finds out she is Cassandra Cain, daughter of two of the greatest assassins and fighters the world had ever known David Cain and Lady Shiva and she was breed to be the best there is and was abused by her father her entire life, taught only to fight and survive and read body language, not to speak. When her father realizes that she failed her mission and embarrassed him in front of the League of Assassins, David goes after her to kill both her and the bat. Bruce decides to take her in and give her a better life and they stop David, in the end though Bruce decides to adopt Cassandra and she officially becomes a Wayne. During this time Gotham is still undergoing reconstruction and Bruce is developing a plan to rebuild Gotham for the better, realizing he can do more with his money than be Batman.

Tales of the Bat-Family season Eleven
After having his back broken by the venom fueled monster of a man Bane, The Batman is widely considered dead, even by those closest to him such as Alfred and the rest of the Bat-Family, with them having to live in safe houses across Gotham which has been deemed a no man’s land uninhabitable by the US Government. AfterBane freed all of Arkham Asylum the criminals are running rampant doing whatever they please in the chaotic city. The only person who hasn’t given up hope that Bruce is alive is Tim Drake who ditches the Robin moniker in order to find his mentor, even finding a way out of Gotham to search for him after discovering that League of Assassins leader Ra’s Al Ghūl had been in Gotham. While this is happening Bruce wakes up in the LoA headquarters being trained back into health by Ra’s who tells him the only way to beat Bane is with Venom. When Tim finds Bruce they head back to Gotham and discover that Azrael had taken it upon himself to takeover as The Batman, but has been killing every criminal he came across, so Bruce must stop the wannabe Batman and the monstrous Bane at any cost- and eventually gives in using the Venom to beat Bane.

Tales of the Bat-Family season ten
While Bruce is still trying to track down the armored vigilante Azrael, a small militia force arrives and takes Gotham City over by force, closing all bridges not letting anybody in or out of the city. As Batman is relentlessly trying to take down the militia, he is also trying to find who their leader is, eventually the militia leader reveals himself as Bane. Batman begins to research and learn everything that he can about Bane in order to beat him and take his city back. Bruce eventually finds out that his name is Eduardo Dorrace who was imprisoned in Pena Duro on Santa Prisca as a baby to pay off the debt of his father. The prison was heavily influenced by the League of Assassins for their scientific experiments and they had made a chemical named Venom that gave the user the strength of 100 men and Eduardo used it to escape prison becoming addicted to it. Because he grew in a prison all he knew was pain, fighting and fear. In prison he had been forced to fight in a ring to the death against other prisoners so he always felt the need to fight and defeat whoever he viewed as the best, leading him to Gotham to break the bat and prove he is the best and strongest- and he succeeds, breaking Batman's back and freeing every inmate of Arkham Asylum, and took over Gotham because he viewed the harsh, fearful, city as close to his own home of Pena Duro.

Tales of the Bat-Family Special Presentation: Sword of Azrael
Things are going normal for Batman, after Tim has returned to his role as Robin when he discovers a burning bat symbol on the bridge to Gotham. Investigating this Bruce finds a man in medieval-esque armor and a flaming sword who calls himself Azrael. He tells him of a prophecy that soon Gotham will fall into ruin and the Batman will die and that he was meant to replace Batman as protector of Gotham. After this encounter Bruce begins to dig up everything he can find about this mysterious figure. He discovers that his name is Jean-Paul Valley and that he had been watching Batman for years, even meeting Dick Grayson in college. He finds out that Valley was raised as a member of the Order of Saint Dumas, and he tries to find everything he can about them Bruce then goes on a quest to get to the bottom of the order going all the way to Switzerland to find their place of origin and he battles with another armor-clad individual. Bruce eventually finds out that the order conditioned Jean-Paul to be a perfect warrior meant to cleanse the world of all sinners and protect the children of the lord. When Bruce gets back to Gotham Azrael signals for the bat again, now warning him to stop his search for information and the order is meant to remain secret from him. They have a battle but before Bruce can tell Jean-Paul the truth about what he had uncovered he has disappeared.

Tales of the Bat-Family Special Presentation: Bruce Wayne Murderer?
After Hush had murdered Lucius Fox, the police, excluding Commissioner Gordon all believe that Bruce Wayne was the person who committed the crime and Gordon is forced to arrest his old ally. Bruce goes willingly, trusting his partners to keep defending Gotham in his absence. Bruce is found guilty of the crime and is sent to Blackgate Penitentiary. The Bat-Family must find a way to prove Bruce's innocence and bring Batman back. In the end because they couldn't explain where Bruce was without admitting he is Batman, his bodyguard Sasha Bordeaux who had been hired by Lucius in the first place turns herself in claiming that she was the one who killed the Wayne Enterprises CEO, putting herself in Bruce's place in Blackgate.

Tales of the Bat-Family season Nine
After Hush had murdered Jack Drake, Tim retires from the role of Robin thinking that it only brought him pain. His girlfriend Stephanie Brown has taken over the role. At the same time a new villain calling himself Anarky has been rallying people to stand against Gotham thinking that the only way to make Gotham better is to overthrow the corrupt government and a lot of people are on his side and agree, Batman resolves the issue and discovers that he is a 16 year old named Lonnie Machin, who's parents are officials in the city. Bruce sends him to Arkham but the riots he began kept going with the support not diminishing. While this is going on Stephanie finds out about a new vigilante group that has formed among certain students at their school calling themselves "We Are Robin" inspired by Batman’s partners to fight crime. Tim meets with their leader Duke Thomas and tells him to disband the group but he refuses and they keep going eventually though they catch the attention of the Joker and he murders Duke's father and drives most of the others insane with Joker Gas. Steph then gets Bruce involved and he begins to train Duke and makes The Signal. But after helping to stop the Joker Tim decides to return as Robin and Steph decides to return to her role as Spoiler. Anarky escapes Arkham and begins to lead the riots again and the Bat-Family has to cover all Gotham to stop the riots and they eventually get everything back under control and they send Machin back to Arkham

Tales of the Bat-Family Special Presentation: Heart of Ice
There mysterious across Gotham where corpses are showing up with organs missing- and they're frozen in blocks of ice Victor Fries was a scientist working for the Powers company, and he was experimenting with cryogenics, using this as a way to save his dying wife Nora who had a terminal disease that caused her organs to fail one by one leading to a very slow death. then one day his boss pulled the plug on his experiments due to cutbacks and when Victor begged them to let him keep working his boss caused an accident that froze his body and made it to where he cannot survive outside subzero temperatures and he built a suit to keep himself alive. He then placed Nora into a pod that kept her in cryogenic stasis while he finds a way to cure her. When Batman discovers this he confronts Victor and tells him to find another way besides killing people to temporarily keep her alive but he keeps killing his employers to keep her alive. Bruce promises Victor that he would do everything in his power to help find a cure. Eventually though this proves to be pointless as there was no cure. When one of Fries' bosses becomes enraged at the situation he goes to Victor's lab and destroys the pod that Nora was being held in and seals her fate. Bruce then tells Victor he couldn't find a cure and Nora confronts Victor about what he has done and that she would have rather died than what he did for her and then accepting fate Victor removed his helmet and spent the last day he had with his wife.

Tales of the Bat-Family Season Eight
One night the Dynamic Duo was trying to stop a hostage situation by the criminal Cluemaster and they receive help from a new vigilante calling herself the Spoiler. When Cluemaster escapes she goes after him and they lose track of them. When a string of murders appears Batman tasks Tim with figuring out who she is. The murder victim had their face surgically removed then bandages wrapped around their head with the word HUSH painted on them in blood. All of the victims are in the uppermost classes among the richest and most powerful in Gotham and Batman begins to investigate these murders he figures out that it is his childhood friend Tommy Elliot who had been sent to Arkham as a child for killing his parents. One night Hush breaks in to Wayne Manor and finds Barbara babysitting Tiffany Fox and when he is about to kill them he is stopped by Lucius but it came at the cost of his life. Bruce then goes to Harvey Dent for help, hoping that he can break through to his old friend who had stayed in touch with Tommy better than Bruce. Eventually Harvey tells Bruce where Tommy had last been living and they come to a stand off when suddenly Hush is shot in the back by Harvey, who had escaped Arkham in order to help and they put Hush back into Arkham, where he is then quickly dispatched by an assassin clad in black and gold. While this is going on, Tim finds out that she is the daughter of Cluemaster Stephanie Brown. They then defeat Cluemaster and begin a relationship

Tales of the Bat-Family Season Seven
2 years after season 6 and Bruce began Tim Drake's training, there is a new vigilante who has showed up in Gotham calling himself the Red Hood, and he is exterminating Gotham's criminal underworld, starting with the mob boss Black Mask. As Red Hood continues his killing spree, Batman begins to put the pieces together and discovers that the Red Hood is his adopted son and former Robin, Jason Todd who has evidently come back to life somehow. When Bruce finally confronts Jason, he has captured the Joker- the maniac who put him six feet under in the first place and tries to force Bruce into killing him, feeling betrayed that the man he considered a father didn't avenge his death and that Bruce has a new Robin. When Bruce stops Jason, he lets him go and Jason disappears.
