The series is mostly about Ivan guiding his son and helping him not to make the mistakes he did as well as forming a bond with his son and estranged daughter from a past lover.

Lovecraft Manor (2020s)

A group of kids explore what they think is an abandoned house. But turns out to be the house of the one and only Howard Phillips Lovecraft. Turns out Lovecraft has been living there for decades and the creatures he has written about are real and have cursed him with immortality. Now he serves as the gate keeper to their realm and his house is the gate. After one of the children accidentally opens the gate, the children team up with him to close it and avoid the creatures from getting through.

What Remains (sci fi fantasy epic)

Several years ago a colony of humans crash landed on a planet that is populated by giant humanoid aliens. Over the year humans become nothing more that pests to these giants and spend most of their time running from being killed. Zev is a young man that goes against the wishes of his tribe to go rescue his love Mora, who has been taken to their city. When he arrives there he comes to realize that the planet used to be inhabited by other human sized beings that worshiped the giants as Gods, then the giants turned on them and now all that remains are ruins that he uses to hide and evade the giants. Eventually he manages to kill a few giants and rescue his girl. When he returns he convinces his tribe to work together to defeat the giants once and for all.

Mutt Williams and The Cohen Affair

After the event of KOTCS, Mutt accidentally gets mixed up in a pawn shop robbery he was trying to stop. After he gets arrested, he is questioned by the police and eventually the FBI. He comes to find out that a gangster named Mickey Cohen (yes that Mickey Cohen) orchestrated. The FBI agrees to let him go on the condition he helps them infiltrate Cohen’s organization. Mutt begrudgingly agrees but knows that the FBI had a hidden agenda. Eventually this leads to Mutt getting caught between a conspiracy involving Cohen, the FBI and other government officials.

Fantastic Planet (motion capture remake)

In the distant future, the gargantuan blue humanoid Traags[8] (in French and Czech spelling: Draag[9]) have brought human beings (who are called Oms as a play on the French word for "man", homme) from Earth to the planet Ygam, where they maintain a technologically and spiritually advanced society. Amber Clad (Steampunk Studio Ghibli style movie)

AMBER CLAD is a mechanical steampunk city in the close to the North Pole. It runs entirely on steam and clockwork, complete with moving buildings. Thomas Darius is the lead engineer who helps to keep the city running along with other engineers. There are also low level engineers that help with more minor maintenance around the city. Even though there are different classes the city is very prosperous. Alexa “Lex” Darius is Thomas’ daughter who is also an engineering prodigy so much so she also helps her Father maintain the city. They live happily in the snow covered city, but one a day a a giant evil Coronel named Eugene Bronson and his floating army ship attack AMBER CLAD with the purpose of taking the city for its resources. Lex’ parents are taken hostage, but Lex manages to avoid capture and hides in the city. She meets up with Daniel and Prisa, a brother and sister low level engineer duo.

SUPERMAN: Metropolis (series)

The story focuses on Clark arriving to Metropolis fresh out of Smallville, looking to become a reporter and do some good. He meets a spunky reporter named Lois Lane and her photographer Jimmy Olsen and he gets paired up with them. Eventually Clark starts to realize he can do more good but not as Clark Kent, he then decides to become the hero Superman.

Ridley Scott's I Am Legend

In a suburb of Los Angeles in the late 1990s, Robert Neville is perhaps the last human alive. Everyone else on the planet has been turned into a vampire. During the day, when the creatures are comatose, he seeks them out and kills them with a wooden stake, fixes the defences on his house, strings up the garlic again, and clears dead vampires off the lawn. At night, he barricades himself indoors and drinks himself into a stupor while the vampires taunt him and try to break in. But these are not mythological vampires such as Dracula; they include his neighbors and other people he knew. By conducting a variety of experiments, Neville learns that the condition has been caused by a bacterium to which he alone is immune. Further experiments explain all the “facts” about vampires involving fear of light and garlic, invisibility in mirrors, need for fresh blood, immunity to bullets, susceptibility to wooden stakes, and aversion to religious symbols. The true horror of the story does not lie in the fights with the vampires, but in what the life Neville is forced to lead does to him. He is totally alone, forced to barbaric slaughter on a daily basis just to survive, hanging on to a life that he does not really want to live any more.

Scarlet

The series is about a young woman named Scarlet Rue from Portland who rebels against a corrupt society and ends up starting a new American revolution in the process. The series often breaks the fourth wall in that the protagonist talks to the reader of the comic.

Ridley Scott's DUNE 1980s

Dune is set in the distant future amidst a feudal interstellar society in which various noble houses control planetary fiefs. It tells the story of young Paul Atreides, whose family accepts the stewardship of the planet Arrakis. While the planet is an inhospitable and sparsely populated desert wasteland, it is the only source of melange, or "spice", a drug that extends life and enhances mental abilities. Melange is also necessary for space navigation, which requires a kind of multidimensional awareness and foresight that only the drug provides. As melange can only be produced on Arrakis, control of the planet is a coveted and dangerous undertaking. The story explores the multilayered interactions of politics, religion, ecology, technology, and human emotion, as the factions of the empire confront each other in a struggle for the control of Arrakis and its spice.
