To help give the report for children on Sesame Street, Kermit is tasked with interviewing the fairy tale characters and uncovering the root of the mysterious happenings that are disrupting the classic stories.

Along for the ride is the Sesame Street Muppets who play different roles, and a mysterious presence that lures them into it's domain, hoping to play with Ernie forever and ever.

After a huge eating disaster occurs in the Sesame Street bake-off, Cookie Monster gets himself a time-out from eating cookies and is forced to go on a diet, which is no fun for him. He then stumbles upon a rare and strange cookie meteorite that fell from outer space. It tastes so perfect, Cookie Monster becomes so obsessed with finding the space rock, it radiates him into a giant blue monster gobbling up the city of New York! Big Bird, Elmo, Grover, and the whole Sesame Street gang must work together and snap Cookie Monster out of his monstrous rampaging hunger!
