DCU Chapter One: Gods and Monsters
The DC movies have long struggled to keep up with Marvel at the box office. In recent years, DC has spun out several different movies that seemingly exist in different universes with no storytelling relationship to one another. That ends now. In an attempt to streamline DC storytelling and compete with Marvel, Warner Bros. poached Gunn, director of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy movies, from Disney to rebuild the DC universe alongside producer Peter Safran. Slowly, rumors have trickled out about the future of the DC movies. Recently, Gunn and Safran finally announced the initial steps for their 10-year plan for what they are calling the DCU at a press conference and in social media posts. They are using The Flash movie, due on June 16, to reset the timeline in the DCU and essentially wipe the slate clean. But on to plans for the new DCU: Five new movies and five TV shows are in development. Some focus on famous characters like Superman and Green Lantern. Others are plucking more obscure IP like Creature Commandos and Booster Gold. They have dubbed this first chapter of the new DCU “Gods and Monsters.” Here’s what’s on the docket for the DCU.

Likewise, rich entrepreneur, Maxwell Lord, is revealed to be the power behind the throne. The lone survivor of the psychic experiments birthed from the OMAC Project, he now plans to use his abilities to take over the world and slaughter the metahumans that might stand in his way. The script is filled with action, with the various heroes not only facing off against the OMACs but thanks to Maxwell Lord's manipulation, each other.

Quentin Tarantino’s Luke Cage: Power Man (1994)
Luke Cage was wrongly imprisoned, but, after an experimental procedure, he was made bulletproof, aiding him in his escape. He used his powers to help people who are willing to pay for it, becoming the first-ever Hero For Hire. However, while chasing a terrorist, he realizes that the terrorist is wearing a bomb vest, and explodes right in Luke’s face, seriously injuring a NYPD police officer named Mercedes “Misty” Knight, who is given a robotic arm to replace her missing one. She joins Luke as a partner as a Hero For Hire. They encounter a masked vigilante named Iron Fist, who aids them in their mission agianst Cornell “Cortonmouth” Stokes, and his monstrous assassin, Sabretooth. The film would feature other Marvel characters, such as Daredevil, Moon Knight, The Punisher, Bullseye, and the Kingpin.

Tim Miller’s Deadpool 2
Basically the same movie, but with the inclusion of the fantastic four, and the final battle replaces Colossus with The Thing. It would also show Vanessa getting her shape shifting powers, instead of her dying, she and Wade have a bad breakup. Cable would not be played by Josh Brolin, as Tim Miller thought he was too short to play him. All of the characters would also have comic accurate costumes as well.
