Batteries Not Included (remake/sequel)
Batteries Not Included (stylized as *batteries not included) is a 1987 American science fiction comedy film directed by Matthew Robbins about small extraterrestrial living spaceships that save an apartment block under threat from property development. The story was originally intended to be featured in the television series Amazing Stories, but executive producer Steven Spielberg liked the idea so much that he decided to adapt it into a film. It was the feature film screenwriting debut of Brad Bird.

It is loosely based on the life of Chevalier d'Éon, although it portrays them as a woman masquerading as a man, rather than a person who was biologically male but presenting as a woman, as was supposedly the case for the latter part of their life.

The Tour de Nesle affair was a scandal amongst the French royal family in 1314, during which Margaret, Blanche, and Joan, the daughters-in-law of King Philip IV, were accused of adultery. The accusations were by Philip's daughter, Isabella. The Tour de Nesle was a tower in Paris where much of the adultery was said to have occurred. The scandal led to torture, executions and imprisonments for the princesses' lovers (knights Gautier and Philippe) and the imprisonment of the princesses, with lasting consequences for the final years of the House of Capet.
