Over a decade ago, The Batman gave his life to protect Gotham from a bomb that would've leveled the city. Since his absence a new masked hero going by Nightwing, has decided to take up the mantle of the hero of Gotham. Until the city is put under quarantine due to the return of the Scarecrow, using his fear gas to flood the streets, keeping civilians indoors. He is also teamed up with a man named Jervis, taking up the moniker Mad Hatter. Nightwing being outmatched by his two adversaries, brings about the return of Batman, Bruce Wayne himself. Together they team up to take out the two villains and save the city.

Peter Parker has spent a year on his lonesome, until he has visions of an older woman with spider legs, calling her Madame Web, she tells him to avoid the symbiote at all costs. Peter initially doesn’t understand, until one day he gets taken over by a mysterious black gooey substance. Peter seeks out the help of Bruce Banner to understand what this thing is, Bruce finds out it has symbiotic origins. Peter, remembering Madame Web’s warning, decides to destroy the symbiote once and for all.
