The Fourth Super Sentai Series. It got the highest ratings of all sentai (at least up to 1988), but is least popular among Japanese fans(as opposed to Japanese children). Cf. Ultraman Taro, another series unpopular with fans though popular with children. 50episodes Dr. Hongou, founder of the Future Science Laboratory, confirms that Deathdark has begun its nefarious activities at Wolfborg Castle in Germany.

Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan (International Cast)
The third sentai series and last Toei series with a Marvel copyright (but apparently no Marvel involvement) to date. Smallest team to date. Compare with Liveman. The only series with a change in team leader. 50 episodes the threat machine empire Black Magma causes the GWP to decide to establish the Solar Task Force at a summit. From the GWP's air force, navy, and rangers, Commander Arashiyama assembles three specialists to become Sunvulcan. Harsh training begins. Learning of this, Black Magma attacks the GWP base, but the Sunvulcan debuts in time to save it. Hellsaturn prays to the Black Solar God and is rewarded with a revived Queen Hedrian, now a cyborg with a mechanical heart and a metallic afro. But plot after plot of Black Magma, even with Hedrian's aid, fails. Following the death of Zero one, AmazonKiller, a Vader, arrives from space, destroying the Sunvulcanbase. A new Vulcanbase is built. The original Vul Eagle, Ryusuke Owashi, is replaced by a friend and master of the sword, Takayuki Hiba. The team successfully defends the psychic descendant of the Denzi, the nun Himiko, from Black Magma. Shortly after this, Lightning Galaxer shows up. Sunvulcan devises the New Vulcan Ball, but their attacks are no use against Lightning Galaxer until he becomes the gigantic Lightning Monger.

Three thousand years ago, the Vader Clan devastated Denji Star. Denjiland, an island from Denji Star, departed from the Denji Star and landed on Earth. In modern times, the Vader Clan was detected approaching Earth, the Denjiland computer awoke the Denjidog IC. It found five young people (who may or may not be descendants of the Denji people) to become the Denjimen in order to defend Earth, the Vader Clan's next target. The Denjimen began a long record of success with the defeat of Vader Monster number 00, Flying Squirreler.

Battle Fever J (International Cast)
This is the first series to go under the name of 'Super Sentai.' It is second co-production with Toei Marvel, following the success of Spider-Man (1978), a Tokusatsu-version of the popular comic book. Intially, the show was to be called 'Captain Japan,' a Japanese version of Marvel's Captain America.

As the first sentai series, it is longest running series in the franchise. When world peace is threatened by the appearance of the Black Cross, an international secret society of evil. United Nations sets up a 'EAGLE' (Earth Guard League) to combat the threat. Designated as 'Blocks', this special army is distributed throughout the World. Japan has one of the largest of these 'Blocks'. The Black Cross Army decides to launch a surprise attack against the Japanese EAGLE Block due to their fear of the united threat. The Black Cross sends five of its most dangerous cyborg operatives to attack Japan's various EAGLE branches. The Golden Mask to the Eagle Kanto Base, Warrior Mask to the Tohoku Base, Bronze Mask to Kyushu Base, Jade Mask to Hokkaido Base, and Poison Gas Mask to Osaka Base. Across Japan the Black Cross Army diminish its targets, killing all those who opposed them. Yet from the ashes of these destroyed bases, the five young survivors of these attacks vowed vengeance and using the special interlocking "key", the various survivors are summoned to snackshop 'Gon', secret gateway to EAGLE Japan's main command center in Tokyo by Commander Edogawa Kenpachi. They were reorganized to form the Secret Task Force Goranger, armed with Goranger Suits that gave them superhuman abilities. Armed with these form fitted suits and other special weapons created by EAGLE scientists, they avenged their fallen comrades by defeating Black Cross' operatives and the others that followed.
