The Twilight Zone (1990s) 4x2- The Thirty-Fathom Grave

Ok, Now I'm recaught up again with the current story being episode 2 of Season 4 of The 1990s Twilight Zone with The Thirty Fathom Grave a U.S. Navy destroyer in the Pacific Ocean detects a mysterious hammering sound from a sunken WWII submarine. The investigation reveals the sub was lost 20 years prior, and Chief Boatswain's Mate Bell was its only survivor. Consumed by survivor's guilt for accidentally exposing the submarine to enemy fire, Bell believes the sounds are his drowned crewmates calling him to join them, eventually leading him to leap overboard to his death.

This is the 100th episode to The Twilight Zone and its one that's grown a very big pick a grieving widower orders a robot grandmother for his three children. While two of the children quickly accept their new mechanical mother, the youngest daughter, Anne, initially rejects the robot due to her mother's recent death. After running away and nearly being hit by a van, Anne is saved by the robot, who takes the impact instead. This act of self-sacrifice leads Anne to accept the robot, realizing it won't leave her like her mother did and can provide the love she needs.
