Oh, The Places You’ll Go (1992)
I know, it’s weird. But let me explain it. Shortly before Dr. Seuss died, he gave a script to Ben Myron and Ronald Joffé, who were chosen to produce a nearly animated musical adaptation of Suess’ Oh, The Places You’ll Go, his last book about life, for TriStar Pictures. After Suess died, rewrites were written by Richard LaGravenese and Barry Berman, however, the script was ultimately cancelled. Suess’ script told the story of a live-action child (Known here as “Our Boy”) who doesn’t want to be born, given an animated tour through life’s ups and downs by the Cat in the Hat and many other of Suess’ iconic characters.
