The Karate Kid

Every good horror movie needs some sort of villain to pit its heroes against, be it a chainsaw-wielding maniac, a demonic entity from another realm or simply mankind's own inner darkness. But not all horror villains are created equal. Only some truly stand the test of time and manage to frighten and entertain moviegoers even decades after they originally debuted on the big screen.

Laid to Rest
A young woman with amnesia breaks out of a coffin in a funeral home, and dials 911 in the morgue, but accidentally unhooks the telephone while speaking to the operator. The Funeral director appears, and is impaled by a man equipped with a chrome skull mask, and a shoulder mounted camera. The girl stabs ChromeSkull in the eye, and runs off while he treats his wound. The girl is picked up by Tucker, who takes her home to his wife Cindy, and promises her that they will go to the sheriff's station in the morning, as Tucker's truck is low on gas, and their phone service has been cut off.

The Odyssey
This 1997 American fantasy-adventure TV miniseries was based on the ancient Greek epic poem by Homer, The Odyssey. Directed by Andrei Konchalovsky, the miniseries aired on NBC in two-parts beginning on May 18, 1997. The series won the award for "Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries or a Special." It was filmed in Malta, Turkey, parts of England and many other places around the Mediterranean. The cast includes Armand Assante, Greta Scacchi, Irene Papas, Isabella Rossellini, Bernadette Peters, Christopher Lee and Vanessa Williams.
