The upcoming DC Universe film, The Authority, focuses on a team of powerful superheroes who operate outside the conventional norms of heroism, known for their brutal methods. The film is part of DC Studios' "Chapter One: Gods and Monsters" and is described as a "passion project" by James Gunn. While the exact plot details are still developing, the team is known for taking on underground metahuman trafficking and other extreme threats, sometimes clashing with traditional superheroes.
