Luca (2011)

Luca Paguro is a pre-teen sea monster living on the coast of the Italian city of Portorosso and spends his days herding a school of fish. His parents, mother Daniela and father Lorenzo, restrict him from going to the surface in fear that a human might kill him, but this restriction ends up making Luca feel bored. One day, when being conflicted about going to the surface or not, he meets another young sea monster named Alberto Scorfano, who has been on land many times on a small island near Portorosso and when he begs Luca to follow him, Luca discovers that he and Alberto can transform into humans when they get dry on land. They go to Alberto's hideout in a small tower on the island full of human collectables and Alberto claims that he lives with father. Luca finds a poster in the hideout showing a Vespa, an Italian scooter, and they soon decide to spend the next few days making one out of scratch all while Luca tries to keep his now double-life a secret from his parents with only his grandmother being clued in and keeping it a secret.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2024)

April O'Neil, a local reporter for Channel 6 Eyewitness News in New York City, investigates a crime wave by a group of criminals called the Foot Clan. At a dock at night, she sees the Foot raiding cargo containers. After an unseen vigilante attacks the thieves, April notices a symbol left behind. April's supervisor Bernadette Thompson and her coworkers are oblivious to her story. Later while covering a charity event thrown by Sacks Industries, April expresses gratitude to the company's CEO Eric Sacks, who was her late father's lab partner.

Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2024)

Peter LaFleur owns Average Joe's Gymnasium, a small, dilapidated gym with only a few members. When he defaults on the gym's mortgage, it is purchased by the cocky White Goodman, who owns Globo Gym across the street. Unless Peter can raise $50,000 in thirty days, Goodman will foreclose on Average Joe's and demolish it to build a new auxiliary parking structure for his members. Goodman attempts to seduce attorney Katherine "Kate" Veatch, who is handling his transaction; she is repulsed, but just cites conflict of interest (COI) to refuse his advances. Meanwhile, she becomes close to Peter while reviewing his financial records.

Cowboys & Aliens (2021)

In 1873 New Mexico Territory, a man awakens injured in the desert with a strange metal bracelet attached to his left wrist and no memory. He wanders into the town of Absolution, where preacher Meacham treats his wound. Sheriff John Taggart recognizes the stranger as wanted outlaw Jake Lonergan and attempts to arrest him. Jake nearly escapes, but a woman named Ella Swenson interferes. Taggart and his men prepare to transport both Jake and petulant young drunkard Percy Dolarhyde to Santa Fe for trial.

Cowboys & Aliens (2001)

He wanders into the town of Absolution, where preacher Meacham treats his wound. Sheriff John Taggart recognizes the stranger as wanted outlaw Jake Lonergan and attempts to arrest him. Jake nearly escapes, but a woman named Ella Swenson interferes. Taggart and his men prepare to transport both Jake and petulant young drunkard Percy Dolarhyde to Santa Fe for trial.

Mr. Peabody & Sherman (2024)

Mr. Peabody is a gifted anthropomorphic dog who lives in a penthouse in New York City and raises his adopted human son, 7-year-old Sherman, and tutors him traveling throughout history using the WABAC, pronounced "way back", a time machine. They visit Marie Antoinette in Versailles during the French Revolution in 1789. Getting caught in the Reign of Terror, Peabody is nearly sent to the guillotine to be executed by Maximilien Robespierre, but escapes with Sherman through the Paris sewers.

Venom (2028)

While exploring space for new habitable worlds, a probe belonging to the bio-engineering corporation Life Foundation discovers a comet covered in symbiotic lifeforms. The probe returns to Earth with four samples, but one escapes and causes the ship to crash in Malaysia. The Life Foundation recovers the other three and transports them to their research facility in San Francisco, where they discover that the symbiotes cannot survive without oxygen-breathing hosts, which often fatally reject the symbiosis. Investigative journalist Eddie Brock reads about these human trials in a classified document in the possession of his fiancée Anne Weying, an attorney preparing a lawsuit defense for the Life Foundation. Brock confronts Life Foundation CEO Carlton Drake about the trials, leading to both Brock and Weying losing their jobs. Consequently, Weying ends their relationship.

Home (2035)

An alien race known as the Boov finds near-future Earth a suitable place to call "home". Led by Captain Smek, they commence their "friendly" invasion of the planet, relocating the humans, whom the Boov deem as simple and backwards, to remote parts of the planet while the Boov inhabit their homes in a quick and bloodless conquest. One of the Boov, named Oh, is a more excitable, freethinking member of the species, who decides to invite the Boov to his apartment for a housewarming party, despite the race's antipathy towards him. Not far from Oh is a 14-year-old girl named Gratuity "Tip" Tucci, who drives away through her home city to find her mother Lucy after being separated from her during the invasion, leaving her with only her calico cat Pig and fueling her hatred for the Boov.

The Adventures of Tintin (2021)

While browsing in an outdoor market with his pet dog Snowy, Tintin, a young journalist, purchases a miniature model of a ship known as the Unicorn, but is accosted by two men, who both separately unsuccessfully attempt to acquire the model from Tintin. After Tintin takes the model home to his apartment, it is accidentally broken during a chase between Snowy and a stray cat; a metal tube slips out of the ship's mast and rolls under Tintin's furniture. Meanwhile, bumbling police detectives Thomson and Thompson are on the trail of pickpocket Aristides Silk, whom Snowy had seen in the market.

The Mitchells vs. the Machines (2031)

Katie Mitchell is a quirky aspiring filmmaker in Michigan who often clashes with her nature-obsessed and technophobe father Rick, and has recently been accepted into film school in California. The evening before Katie leaves, Rick accidentally breaks her laptop after fighting over Rick watching one of Katie's previous short films and Katie wanting it back, disappointing her as they drift apart. Rick decides to cancel Katie's flight and instead take her, along with her mother Linda, younger brother Aaron and family dog Monchi, on a cross-country road trip to her college as one last bonding experience.

Death Wish (2028)

Paul Kersey, a Chicago-area Emergency Room surgeon, lives with his wife, Lucy, and daughter, Jordan. When the family visits a restaurant with Paul's brother Frank, a valet named Miguel photographs their home address from their car's navigation software after hearing about a night they plan to be away from home. However, Paul is called to the hospital that night, and Jordan and Lucy are present when the three armed criminals break into their home. Moments later, one of the invaders is scarred from Lucy and Jordan's efforts to fight back in defense of their lives and home.

Escape from Planet Earth (2023)

On Planet Baab, Scorch Supernova works at BASA with his nerdy older brother, Gary and his mission control computer, James Bing. One day, Gary receives a message from Lena Thackleman, the head of BASA, that Scorch will be sent to the "Dark Planet" (the Baabians' name for Earth) due to a SOS call.

Happy Feet (1996)

Now a young adult, Mumble is frequently ridiculed by the elders. After escaping from a leopard seal attack, Mumble befriends a group of Adelie penguins called "the Amigos", who embrace Mumble's dance moves and assimilate him into their group. After seeing a hidden human excavator in an avalanche, they opt to ask Lovelace, a rockhopper penguin, about its origin. Lovelace has the plastic rings of a six pack entangled around his neck, saying that they have been bestowed upon him by mystic beings.

Bee Movie (2017)

An idealistic honey bee named Barry B. Benson has recently graduated from college and is about to enter the hive's Honex Industries honey-making workforce with his best friend Adam Flayman. Barry is initially excited to join the workforce, but his ambitious, insubordinate attitude emerges upon discovering that his choice of job will never change once picked. Later, the two bees run into a group of Pollen Jocks, bees who collect pollen from flowers outside the hive, and they offer to take Barry with them if he is "bee enough". While on his first pollen-gathering expedition in New York City, Barry gets lost in the rain, and ends up on the balcony of a human florist named Vanessa Bloome. Upon noticing Barry, Vanessa's boyfriend Ken attempts to squash him, but Vanessa gently catches and releases Barry outside the window, saving his life.

Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil (2021)

Wolf, Granny, and Twitchy are on a rescue mission to save Hansel and Gretel from an evil witch named Verushka. The plan goes wrong however and Granny is kidnapped as well. Meanwhile, Red is in training with a mysterious group called the Sisters of the Hood where she learns that a secret all powerful truffle recipe has been stolen. She is assigned by detective Nicky Flippers with Wolf and Twitchy to find the recipe and save her grandma.

Hoodwinked! (2015)

Little Red Riding Hood arrives at her grandmother's house, where the Big Bad Wolf has disguised himself as Red's Granny. The Wolf attacks Red. Granny, who has been tied up, suddenly jumps out of a nearby closet to help Red, just as an ax-wielding woodsman bursts through the window. The police arrive on the scene. Detective Nicky Flippers questions everyone involved about the events leading up to the incident.

We Can Be Heroes (2030)

Missy Moreno is at home with her dad, Marcus, when they receive word that aliens are invading. Missy is taken to Heroics Headquarters and placed in a vault with other children of the Heroics, a team of superheroes. Marcus, retired as a superhero, is reinstated by Mrs. Granada, leader of the Program.

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief (2020)

Sixteen-year-old Percy struggles with dyslexia and ADHD, but has a unique ability to stay underwater. On a school trip, Percy is attacked by Alecto, a Fury masquerading as his substitute English teacher, who demands the lightning bolt. Percy's best friend Grover Underwood and his Latin teacher Mr. Brunner help scare off Alecto. Mr. Brunner gives Percy a pen which he claims is a powerful weapon, and instructs Grover to take Percy and his mother Sally to Camp Half-Blood — a hidden summer camp for demigod children in Long Island. There, they are attacked by the Minotaur, who seemingly kills Percy's mother. Percy discovers that Mr. Brunner's pen is a magical sword, and uses to fight off the Minotaur, killing it with its own horn.
