Too Close to the Sun
For eight years, the madness of the Great War devasted and shook the old world order, rampaging and ransacking the cities of old Europe, and leaving many in the shadow of poverty and disease. For those who had their families torn, the chaos of the interwar years saw the chance for vengeance and social upheaval, and many were quick to jump at the opportunity. Yet, many others sought an end to the cycle of wars that plagued mankind; those who were witness to the great loss of life of the 1910's and sought everything in their power to maintain the fragile peace. Enter Li Ning, a mysterious man bound by mysterious contracts and interests; a diplomat and a renegade who wishes for nothing more than to dismantle the machinations of war that will set the world to doomsday. His crusade against the revanchist tide throws him in the sights of the ambitious and expansionist Victor Frankenstein, the Foreign Minister of the German Reich.
