In a fantasy drama loosely inspired by it’s a wonderful life, a recently divorced man wishes that he was never born.

A campy, progressive bbc teatime spin on Aladdin. Young Ali Sah din lives in a tower block, where good people are victimized by the wicked conservative MP al Dunbar (Colin Baker). When he finds a magical lamp containing a genie (Also Baker) and a ring genie (Art Malik), he discovers that Dunbar has been using subterfuge and the genie’s magic to lengthen his time in the House of Commons. Ethnically diverse cast, and it uses a mixture of the Chinese elements of the original and the Arabian of adaptations.

Given Gal Gadot’s recent, tone deaf, hypocritical comments on the ceasefire in Palestine, which is much more serious than any comments about the original Snow White movie, I feel I cannot, after many years on the fence, support the film or any film in its current form with her.
