Star Ocean: Til the End of Time

Star Ocean: Till the End of Time begins on the planet Hyda IV where a young man, Fayt Leingod, and his childhood friend, Sophia Esteed, are on vacation with Fayt's family. Fayt is the son of Robert Leingod, a famous scientist in the field of symbological genetics. For an unknown reason, the Vendeeni — an alien civilization with highly advanced technology that spans only a single planet — attacks Hyda IV unprovoked, thus initiating a war with the Pangalactic Federation. Fayt and Sophia escape on the starship Helre, but are separated from Fayt's parents, Robert and Ryoko Leingod. The Helre is also attacked by the Vendeeni, and the two are separated.

Grandia II

Ryudo is a mercenary, known as a Geohound, and is hired by the Church of Granas to escort Elena, a Songstress of Granas, to Garmia Tower for a ceremony. Upon arrival, he is asked to wait while they perform the ritual. However, he hears a scream and rushes up to the top floor. Seeing everyone dead and Elena with a pair of wings, he rescues her and both return to Carbo village. Back in the village, Ryudo is asked by the priest to escort Elena to St. Heim Papal State to seek Pope Zera to help cleanse Elena of the Wings of Valmar, one of several pieces of Valmar, that now possess her. Before he can turn the job down, the village is attacked by a mysterious winged woman, who engages and defeats Ryudo in battle. She introduces herself as Millennia and disappears. The next morning, Ryudo accepts the job and departs for St. Heim with Elena. In the town of Agear, Millennia appears again, this time more friendly, and teams up with Ryudo. She accidentally reveals herself as the Wings of Valmar and that she possesses Elena, sharing her body as a separate being. The group, eventually joined by Roan and the beast man Mareg, encounters more pieces of Valmar, which Millenia absorbs after defeating them..

Grandia

The story revolves around a 14 year old boy called Justin who dreams of being an adventurer. One day when exploring the ancient Sult Ruins, the spirit stone left to him by his late father opens up a room which he then enters with his friend Sue and her pet Puffy. Inside, he meets a mysterious woman named Liete who tells him that he must travel far to ancient city of Alent. Meanwhile, a military called the Garlyle Forces, lead by General Baal, are also desperately trying to find Alent. While Justin, Sue and Puffy are travelling, they are joined by party members such as the famous adventurer Feena and a mighty warrior named Gadwin. More party members join in disc 2, such as the obnoxious rapscallion Rapp, the Lainian bad-ass Milda, the wise rabbit Guido and Liete herself. Party members come and go but Garlyle proves to be a recurring obstacle in Justin's quest. Colonel Mullen, Lieutenant Leen and the sergeants Nana, Saki & Mio included. Baal becomes the monster known as Gaia and only Justin has the power to stop him. Other characters include Justin's chef mother Lilly, elderly adventurer Java, the creepy Adventurer Society President Pakon, his bodyguard Master Chang, young horned Rem, impressionable child Nicky and many more.

Final Fantasy IX

The 9th main entry of the Final Fantasy franchise, originally released on PS1 in 2000, FFIX tells the story of a band of thieves who are hired to kidnap Garnet, the princess of Alexandria. One of thieves, Zidane is the protagonist of the story who winds up falling in love with Garnet, who is later nicknamed Dagger. Many other characters inhabit this story such as the black mage Vivi, the captain of the Pluto Knights Steiner, the always hungry Qu Quina, the Burmecian rat Freya, the loner assassin Amarant, the child summoner Eiko, the mysterious antagonist Kuja, Zidane’s thief brothers (Blank, Cinna, Marcus, Baku, the Nero brothers & Ruby) and the twin jesters Zorn & Thorn
