Inspired by Firebird storyline. The team is sent into China to extract a political prisoner. However,they have to deal with the problem of the Chinese army. So they have a diversion team. Smaller team that has actual jobs. The majority of the team act as a diversion if the army gets near.

A ex-addict who’s lost the will to live after a family tragedy that caps off a long list of bad things in his life finds a new purpose-track down and kill a predator in the community. Their stories intersect.
One magnificent Bird
The Maltese falcon is ripe for a Coen brothers take. It would lean into the “straight faced absurdity” of the characters, the complex weaving narrative, the ending where all the chaos and hunting were for nothing fits perfectly, the Flitcraft Parable would absolutely be included and parodied-meaningful sounding meaningless and fate themes are popular in their stories. My idea is like how the big Lebowski riffed on Chandler, this movie would riff on Hammond.
