The story kicks off with Dr. Neo Cortex (Peter Dinklage), a brilliant yet tyrannical scientist who, consumed by envy of his more acclaimed peers, conducts illegal experiments on animals to build a powerful army. His latest, and most ambitious, experiment involves transferring his own intelligence into a genetically modified marsupial hoping to make him a great general. With the help of Aku Aku, a mystical mask with ancient wisdom and magical powers, Crash and Rubin set out on a daring quest across the island. They navigate perilous landscapes, face off against Cortex’s monstrous creations, and unravel the secrets behind Cortex's dark plans.
