Peter Jackson’s puss in boots (1999)
In a war-torn kingdom gripped by famine and fear, a destitute young man named Constantino inherits nothing from his father but a dusty, peculiar cat. Just as he prepares to cast the creature aside, the cat speaks—and offers him a future. With only a pair of worn leather boots and a dangerously quick tongue, the cat weaves a path of cunning schemes that elevate Constantino from a starving peasant to a nobleman known as the “Marquis of Carabas.” With every deception, Puss opens new doors—banquets with lords, the favor of a lonely princess, and the trust of a crumbling court. But as Puss and Constantino rise, so does suspicion. A tyrannical ruler watches from the shadows, unraveling the lies they’ve spun, determined to destroy the “Marquis” and expose the cat for what he truly is. As storms gather and ancient powers awaken, Puss finds himself at a crossroads: continue the game, or risk everything to protect the people who now rely on him. With swords drawn and secrets laid bare, the fate of the kingdom may rest on the courage of a cat who once cared only for survival.
