Birth of the Tomb Raider

As a lover of reboot trilogy i was unspeakably disappointed by the 2017 movie adaptation, because of its neglect of the original story and characters that actually had a huge potential. However I adored Alicia Vikander as Lara. I think she could have performed even better if a script had been more consistent. For my personal reinterpretation of the adaptation I decided to pick Daisy Ridley though. She could have been an interesting option as well.

An Ordinary Miracle.

It's a kind of self-aware post-modern tale. A wizard invents fairytailish characters who all come to life and arrive at his house: a King, a Princess, their servants - the usual lot. The story mainly rotates around The Bear, who the wizard had turned into a man. The Bear, who wishes to be his old self once again, can turn into the anima if he kisses a princess. It gets complicated when one falls in love with that princess, who recently arrived at the wizard's house.

Pride & Prejudice

Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice centers on the conflict between marrying for love and marrying for economic reasons. None of Mr. Bennet's five daughters can inherit his estate, so they are pressured into finding security in "good" marriages. Elizabeth Bennet, the main character, struggles with the societal pressures of marriage and resists Mr. Darcy's advances and proposals. Eventually, however, she finds that she does love him, and for that reason, she decides to marry him.

The Little Friend

In a small Mississippi town, Harriet Cleve Dusfresnes grows up in the shadow of her brother, who—when she was only a baby—was found hanging dead from a black-tupelo tree in their yard. His killer was never identified, nor has his family, in the years since, recovered from the tragedy. For Harriet, who has grown up largely unsupervised, in a world of her own imagination, her brother is a link to a glorious past she has only heard stories about or glimpsed in photograph albums. The girl resolves, one summer, to solve the murder and exact her revenge. Harriet's sole ally in this quest, her friend Hely, is devoted to her, but what they soon encounter has nothing to do with child's play: it is dark, adult, and all too menacing.

The Original Story of The Little Mermaid

The tribute to the original heartbreaking tell of unrequited love and sacrifice from a perspective of the naive little mermaid. She dies in the end by turning into seafoam. The story remains to be set in Denmark.
