The Lion King 2 Simba's Pride 2021

The Lion King II: Simba's Pride is a 2024 American musical Live Action film directed and produced by Jon Favreau, written by Barry Jenkins, and produced by Walt Disney Pictures. This film is a photorealistic computer-generated imagery remake of Disney's 1998 direct-to-video sequel of the same name and the sequel to Disney's The Lion King (2019). This film featuring the voices of Donald Glover, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, Billy Eichner, Afre Woodard, Seth Rogen, John Kani, John Oliver, Faithe Herman, Halle Bailey, Miles Brown, Zac Efron, Lana Parrilla, Jessie T. Usher, Juliet Donenfeld, Awkwafina, James Earl Jones, Eric Andre, Florence Kasumba, Keegan Michael Key, and ChiwetelEjiofor. This film is scheduled to be released on July 19th, 2024.

The Secret of Nimh Movie (2025)

The Secret of NIMH is the planned remake of The Secret of NIMH. On March 4, 2015, Deadline Hollywood reported that MGM had re-acquired the rights to produce a new film based on the original novel Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH. The film will be produced by the team of Daniel Bobker and Ehren Kruger, with screenplay by Ice Age series writer Michael Berg.[1] It will be James Madigan's directorial debut.[2] It is planned as a CGI/live action hybrid "à la The Smurfs and Alvin and the Chipmunks", and will be "an origin story in which an imperiled mouse protagonist befriends a comical crew of lab rats as they turn hyper-intelligent. They escape a secret laboratory and become the great minds of vermin civilization, forced to outwit the humans hot on their tails." The studio plans to turn the novel into a family franchise. The Russo Brothers will also serve as executive producers for the remake.[3]

The Land Before Time 2025

The Land Before Time is a 2025 American musical fantasy film directed (and co-produced) by Jon Favreau and co-produced by Rob Marshall from a screenplay by David Magee. Produced by Illumination and Legendary Entertainment Amblin Entertainment and distributed by Universal Pictures, the film stars the voices of Jacob Tremblay, Ever Anderson, Awkwafina and Alexander Molony with narration provided by David Attenborough. It is a live action remake of the 1988 animated film of the same name. The film features dinosaurs living at the end of the Cretaceous. The plot features a young Alamosaurus named Littlefoot, who ends up alone after his mother is attacked by a vicious carnivore and dies (Tyrannosaurus). Littlefoot flees famine and upheaval to search for the Great Valley, an area spared from devastation, where the adult dinosaurs have moved on to. On his journey, he meets five young companions: Cera, a Triceratops, Ducky, an Edmontosaurus, Petrie, a Tethydraco, Chomper, a Tyrannosaurus rex, and Spike, an Ankylosaurus. The film explores issues of prejudice between the different species and the hardships they endure in their journey as they are guided by the spirit of Littlefoot's mother and forced to deal with a "sharptooth" (Tyrannosaurus). The film was released by Universal on October 17, 2025, to generally positive reviews from critics and was a box office success, grossing $791.7 million.
