And while faced with these same villains from every side, Peter's worst enemy is the closest, in the form of an extraterrestrial symbiote that bonds to him, granting him a new black costume that bolsters his already amazing powers, but at the cost of feeding on his fragile emotional state and turning him vengeful and violent, putting his status as New York's friendly-neighborhood hero at risk.
