The most common physical response to an in-universe Funny Moment: a character gripping his stomach in pain and laughing hard enough to make their eyes start watering. Some characters may remain standing, others may roll around on the floor or have to sit down.
This is Truth in Television: Laughter, especially loud, intense laughter, results in emotional excitement and causes your tear glands to be stimulated, resulting in an inverted version of Cry Laughing. Laughing for a long period and with sufficient force can also result in potentially stressing muscles, mainly the cheeks or the stomach.
