His credits include playing pathologist Marcus Summer inย ITV'sย Veraย (2014โ2018), private detective Karim Washington on Netflix'sย The OAย (2019), Colonel Ben Younger in theย BBCย dramaย Peaky Blindersย (2017โ2019), and Gravik in the superhero miniseriesย Secret Invasionย (2023).
He starred asย Malcolm Xย in theย Amazon Studios filmย One Night in Miami...ย (2020), for which he won the Gotham Independent Film Award for Breakthrough Performer, and asย Bob Marleyย inย Bob Marley: One Loveย (2024).
