Jacob "Jake" Charles Thompson, also known as Chargeshock, is a Human-Galra hybrid Plumber, the titular protagonist of Chargeshock Thompson & the Justice Avengers, the most popular and the star student at Xavier high school in New York who started working as part-time superhero after the experiment incident. Appearance He is a tall and slim caucasian young man with his hair as a jet black mullet with side bangs and dark blue eyes. He wears a yellow hoodie and blue jeans along with the silver chains as casual outfit. As Chargeshock, his hair gets spiky, he wears a color coded blue uniform. Personality A natural leader himself, Jake is described as confident, charismatic, strategic and daring. He is also the most mature and laid back out of the bunch, which makes him the most level headed when he is in battle. He is also highly intelligent, which means he is one of the top students in his class and even revealed Electro Monster's real identity as Nicholas Osborn. He has a snarky tongue and a sharp wit, which can sometimes make him wisecrack and basically make jokes or sarcastic quips in battle and even in the worst possible situations. He also has a habit of taunting his opponents during battle, which he likes to call a strategy to get under their skin. Despite his usual cool headed exterior, Jake is not probe to being impulsive and stubborn. But he makes up for it for being serious when he needs to be. He is also known to be a competent and reliable leader. He is also really compassionate, a trait that he shows by always being there for his team and understanding them when they open up about something when they how they act. Jake is shown to have several hobbies throughout the series. He is a rapper, singer and a songwriter (basically a musician), who makes a lot of money out of music. He is also a seasoned skater, as he has a skateboard in his room and often goes out skateboarding in his freetime. He also enjoys playing video games and reading comics, as he's got a lot of DC video games and a stash of Green Lantern comics. Despite his easygoing exterior, Jake can sometimes be a perfectionist and really protective of his team, which is rather due to his insecurities and fear of failing them and being betrayed by one of his close ones. This could have been caused by his mother abandoning him, his dad and his brothers and somehow, someone mysterious killing his uncle. He never knew why his mother left, but he always hoped it was for a good reason. Powers and Abilities Abilities Combat Skills Jake's specialty lies in close-combat with martial arts and electro-blades, using a fighting style said to be more Galran than human. He is a skilled and aggressive martial artist able to take down Electro Monster's goons in mere moments with a few powerful strikes. Jake's agility stats are officially the highest; his battle strength lies mainly in his physical speed, trust in his instincts, quick adaptation to changes on the battlefield, and his sheer determination to succeed. While Jake's instincts allow him to react quickly, it also makes him observant of his surroundings and just as susceptible to surprise attacks. Jake heavily relies on his intellect to deceive and outwit his enemies in battle. Piloting Due to his training at the Plumbers' Academy in early middle school, Jake is the high skilled designated pilot in his team, making him one of the most skilled pilots on the team, and trusted with dangerous feats such as safely navigating a field of ricocheting asteroids or flying near a black hole. Powers Bio-Electrokinesis: His main power. Energy Conversion and Energy Redirection (via Energy Absorption): As Chargeshock, he has the ability to absorb and redirect energy attacks, most commonly electricity. This ability is refined to the point that Chargeshock can redirect any type of energy and an infinite amount at near point-blank range. He absorbs energy through his fingers, and can do so from the distance and multiple targets at once. Energy Absorption: Chargeshock can absorb energy out of living beings, as seen when he battled Electro Monster's robots and Phil in his Terroranchula form. Chargeshock can absorb a ion cannon's energy beams, tachyon particles fired from a Tachyon Cannon, the energy of an Annihilarrgh, and multiversal levels of energy (as long as the energy of these other universes have their basis in the same set of physical laws). Electricity Enhanced Punches: Chargeshock can use stored energy to generate electrical charges, which can be used as ranged attacks or to empower his punches. Chargeshock can fire energy balls by joining his fingers and absorbing the energy out of electric devices. Chargeshock has enhanced agility, reflexes and jumping abilities, as well as enhanced speed, but only while running quickly on electrical power lines. Electrokinetic Propulsion: Chargeshock can fly by projecting electric energy behind him like a jet engine. Chargeshock has enhanced strength, as he can lift Phil in his Terroranchula form and charge into a building by busting down a wall with ease. Chargeshock has enhanced durability, as he quickly shrugged off Electro Monster's blast that made him fall into water and was unfazed when Dr. Tarantula threw him against a wall. Chargeshock is able to concentrate his Electrokinesis the perfect amount of time for more range. He can also use them to electrocute foes by directly "plugging" his hands into them, somewhat like a taser. Trivia Jake is one of the top students in Xavier high school. Jake likes corndogs.
